Azores Freediving works in partnership with the diving center Haliotis on the island of Santa Maria as well as the one on the island of Faial for the services on demand on this island.

The client or third party/agency contracts with Haliotis who pays Azores Freediving, its service provider for the freediving part.

The general sales conditions of Haliotis apply when a client books a stay with Azores Freediving.

For stays that include the reservation of an accommodation, the general sales conditions of the host are added to the present conditions.

Freediving Stays & Freediving – Diving Stays

Payment/Cancellation by client or third party/agencies:

  • The booking of a stay is confirmed with a deposit of 20%.
  • The balance is to be paid on site at the time of check-out.
  • Extras (equipment rental, Ambrosio, Dollabarat & Formigas…) are to be paid on site at the time of check-out.
  • In case of force majeure such as bad weather conditions, the outings can be cancelled 18 hours before the theoretical start time of the activity.
  • In case of modified or cancelled outing engaging the responsibility of Haliotis or Azores Freediving, a partial or total refund will be made. Personal reasons such as a cold, sea sickness or tiredness are not grounds for refund.
  • In case of cancellation up to 7 days before the start of the trip, no penalty is applied. After this period, the 20% deposit is retained.
  • In case of no-show, no refund is made and the amount previously paid cannot be used for another stay.

Payment/Cancellation by client or third party/agencies:

  • The booking of a stay is confirmed with the payment of a deposit of 20% within 7 days following the request.
  • The balance is to be paid 2 months before the beginning of the stay.
  • Supplements (equipment rental, Ambrosio, Dollabarat & Formigas, Condor Bank, Princess Alice Bank…) are to be paid on the spot at the time of check-out.
  • In case of force majeure such as bad weather conditions, the outings can be cancelled 18 hours before the theoretical start time of the activity.
  • In case of modified or cancelled outing engaging the responsibility of Haliotis or Azores Freediving, a partial or total refund will be made. Personal reasons such as a cold, sea sickness or fatigue are not grounds for refund.
  • In case of cancellation up to 2 months before the start date of the trip, no penalty is applied.
  • In case of cancellation less than 2 months before the beginning of the stay, the 20% deposit is kept. A voucher valid for 1 year corresponding to the remaining balance is given to the customer.
  • In case of cancellation less than 1 month before the beginning of the stay, 50% of the total amount of the stay is kept and a voucher valid for 1 year corresponding to the remaining balance is given to the customer.
  • In case of cancellation less than 15 days before the beginning of the stay, 100% of the total amount of the stay is due.
  • In case of no-show, no refund is made and the amount previously paid cannot be used for another stay.

Loss of equipment

In case of loss of material belonging to Azores Freediving or Haliotis engaging the responsibility of the customer (a torch, weights, a weight belt, a snorkel etc..), the customer will be indebted for the new purchase price of the lost object.

Covid-19

Any cancellation of a stay accompanied by medical evidence of a period of mandatory isolation after infection with Covid-19 resulting in an inability to travel on the dates of the booked stay will not incur any penalty.
